General Surgery
Our intension is to provide a qualified and modern health service using the current medical technologies in all areas of the general surgery.
As a result of the coordinated working of the staffs of anesthesiology/critical care and general surgery, our patients can return to their regular lives very soon after the operations and all necessary treatments at the intensive care units.
In the department of General Surgery we are performing the following surgical interventions:
- Conventional or laparoscopic hernia surgery
- Diseases and surgery of the thyroid
- Diseases and surgery of the breast
- Surgery of the endocrinal system
- Gastric, intestinal and liver surgery
- Surgery of hemorrhoid, anal fissure and other anal diseases
- Laparoscopic surgery of the gallbladder, umbilical hernia, incisional hernia and in reasonable cases laparoscopic appendectomies.
In the Endoscopy Unit of General Surgery are:
- Oesophagoscopies
- Gastroscopies
- Duodenoscopies
- Proctoscopies
- Rectosigmoidoscopies
- Colonoscopies
are performed with advanced devices.
